DayOfPrayer2019

Time to seek the Lord at Elim's national day of prayer

Elim's National Leadership Team is calling all our Elim ministers and leaders together for a united day of prayer, worship and seeking God at the start of 2019.

Following on from previous significant leaders days of prayer, Elim is again calling a special day for our nation, our Movement and a move of God into our community.

“We are living in hugely significant times, in many ways unprecedented in recent history,” says Chris Cartwright, Elim's General Superintendent. “God is awakening his Church to be positioned and prepared for the season ahead.”

“It is very much with this focus that we are calling on all our ministers and leaders to gather on 9 January to seek the Lord together ‘for such a time’.”

“I am convinced that 2019 is to be ‘a year of alignment’ for Elim as a Movement to position ourselves in God for the next decade.”

This Elim National Day of Prayer will take place in various locations around the nation on Wednesday 9 January 2017 from 10am - 4pm. Leaders will be encouraged to spend the day in prayer and fasting, seeking God for all that lies ahead.

While this day of prayer and encounter is for Elim ministers and leaders, we are also calling the whole Elim Movement to pray. We know that growing numbers of our churches use the opening weeks of each New Year to call the church to pray.

Mark this date and join us in prayer using our free prayer guide available here.

“It’s time to seek the Lord, until He comes and showers His righteousness upon you”

Hosea 10:12

During this special day of prayer, we will be seeking the Lord for:

  • Personal renewal – for ourselves and one another as leaders
  • Our Elim churches to be empowered and renewed – in ministry and mission to every community
  • Our nation – that in turbulent and uncertain times, our nation would see a move of God’s supernatural saving power.

We look forward to beginning the year moving together into renewed prayer and faith for a fresh outpouring of His presence, purity and power throughout the Elim Movement.
