Regents announce new faculty member

Regents Theological College is delighted to announce that the newest member of the Faculty Team is Rev Dr Jonathan Black, who commences his role as Theology Lecturer at the beginning of September 2018.

Jonathan grew up in a Pentecostal church in Northern Ireland. From there he went to read theology at the University of Cambridge, followed by an MTh from Continental Theological Seminary and the University of Wales.

After serving in leadership in a Pentecostal church in Brussels for several years, alongside teaching theology in Belgium, as well as other countries in Europe and Africa, he came back to the UK to pastor a church in Leeds.

Whilst there, he completed a PhD in systematic and historical theology at the University of Chester and wrote one of the only systematic theologies from a British Pentecostal perspective. Jonathan is also an ordained pastor and teacher in the Apostolic Church.

Regents Theological College is amongst the foremost Pentecostal Bible Colleges in Europe, and one of the largest in the UK. It is also the national training centre for the Elim Pentecostal Churches and has been training people to serve in a range of Christian ministries, both in the church and the wider community, for over 90 years.
