Biography
Siân is the founder and CEO of Biojemmss, a ministry working with vulnerable children and their families in Uganda, East Africa. Originally from Wales and a daughter of CMS missionaries, she felt called to support a group of children experiencing abuse in a substandard children’s home in Kampala nearly two decades ago. Siân is an experienced child protection social worker, and has completed a postgraduate diploma in NGO Management from Cass Business School. In 2021, Quentin and Siân married after meeting at a church event. They now jointly head up the ministry from their base in South Wales. Quentin completed his missionary credentials in 2023. Born in South Africa, he has always felt called to return to serve in Africa. Quentin is a qualified Electrician and Tester, and works in construction, and is particularly taking a lead on the current construction and development projects for the ministry. He is also passionate about discipleship and is involved in mentoring several young men and currently leads a growing men’s ministry. Biojemmss has been connected to Elim Missions since 2009.
The Vision
Biojemmss Rescues children from situations of exploitation and abuse, Restores them, their families and community through practical, emotional and spiritual support, and Releases people into true freedom and transformation. It achieves this through a range of ministries including prison ministry, family-strengthening work, yearly evangelistic children’s camps, residential care, emergency relief hampers, educational workshops for families, retracing and rehabilitating for street children, and sustainable-livelihood activities. Central to all we do is our belief in the transformative and restorative love of God, and sharing the gospel and discipling others is part of our core work. Biojemmss purchased a 6.9 acre piece of land in 2020 to establish a base for the ministry and its now many initiatives and growing reach. It already has many livestock and agricultural initiatives on the land, and is currently raising funds to establish both water and electricity supply, and to start work on our community facilities. Biojemmss has a strong team across the UK and Uganda who work sacrificially to see God’s kingdom advance.
