Elim appoints a new director of training

DaveNewton Youth for Christ Ministry Director, Dave Newton, has been appointed the new Elim Director of Training, in the role formerly held by Nigel Tween.

For the last decade, Dave has been leading missions and evangelism as part of the Youth for Christ National Leadership Team. With a Masters in Missions and Evangelism from Cliff College, Dave has wide experience in the training field, something he believes can aid Elim's development.

"My vision is to help everyone serving Elim to be anointed and equipped for the role God has called them to," he said. "I think there is a change in the landscape at the moment and we want to make sure anyone serving has the necessary toolkit to step into, or develop their role."

Elim General Superintendent John Glass said, "I am delighted that Dave Newton will be taking on the role of Director of Training. His senior role within Youth for Christ married to his strong academic background is an ideal mix in the training and equipping of people across the wide spectrum within our Movement, and augers well for the future.
