New building update
At Deo Gloria Church are so very excited by all that God has done for us this year. We’ve had two baptism services where 9 people have been baptised, and there are at least 2 more people who want to get baptised and are currently going to preparation classes. We had a fabulous youth camp in August, where several young people gave their lives to Christ, and are now integrating into the life of the church and being discipled. And, after many years of prayer and searching, God has provided a building for us in the heart of the town, which is rent-free for the first two years - God really is great and has done great things!
We as the leaders have been so very encouraged by the members of our congregation who have given over and above all our expectations for the new building, who have given sacrificially and have been helping with all things practical as we renovate it and prepare to move in as soon as we can. As it was a night club before, there has been a lot that needed doing to renovate it. We have replaced the roof, redone all the electrics, revealed all the windows that were boarded up, installed the heating system, and the walls and ceilings have all been plastered. The store cupboard in the hall has been extended to be the office and a children’s room has been built downstairs. Upstairs in the sanctuary, the stage has been built and all the plans have been laid for the lighting and sound systems.

We were really excited last week when a visitor at church gave the money we need for the sanctuary carpet, someone else gave for the new secure front door, and yet another person offered to buy all the coffee supplies we will need for the bar area.
There is still a lot more to be done - the interior doors need buying and fitting, the walls need painting (along with the outside walls too), the bathrooms desperately need renovating, we’d love to fit a kitchen in the bar area and all the sound and light systems and other furniture need buying. We would really value your prayers. Do join with us in our grateful thanks for God’s amazing provision to this point, for the builders who have worked so well for us, and for the way that God is working in and among the congregation members. And please do pray for God’s continued protection on the site, for his wisdom in every single decision that needs to be made, and for his continued provision so that we can see this project through and move into the new building before Christmas.
In all the years I’ve been in Romania (14 and counting!), I have been so blessed by God’s faithfulness, time and time again when he has provided for me personally, but also for us at Deo Gloria Church. And I know he can do it again! I’m so grateful to you, the army of intercessors who have stood beside me so faithfully all these years, and I thank you once again for all your prayers for this project. If you feel that you’d like to be part of this project financially as well as prayerfully you can give using the link below. As it does take a while to get through the system, it would be helpful (but not essential) if you could also let me know you have sent something so we can make plans this end accordingly - just drop me an email.
Grateful thanks once again for all your support and prayers for me, and for journeying with me in this adventure of life that God has called us to. Be blessed!
