Buna/hello, my name is Gabriel Boanca and I was born and raised in the village of Sardu near Cluj in northwest Romania. I was brought up in the Romanian Orthodox church. I started attending the children`s programmes from the very first missions held in the village. As the years passed I continued to attend the kids programmes, joining in with all the activities, meeting the groups who came on mission and being involved in many of the Foundation activities including the puppet group and mission trips to other parts of the city and even other countries.
One evening during one of the programmes Bob McDonald asked the gathered teenagers “Do you want to accept Jesus as Lord of your life?” That evening, in my own room on my knees, I prayed and asked Jesus into my life and to be my Lord and Saviour. On 17th July 2016 I was baptised. Since 2018, I have attended and become a member of the Elim Pentecostal Church in Sardu where along with another young man, I organise youth evenings once a month and am also asked from time to time to bring a short message and lead prayer in the main service.
I have completed the Elim Missions Academy training and am part of the Corabia Foundation team (Elim Global Partner) working with Liz Face, to help lead the teens Bible studies and with the children`s programmes, summer camps and practical work that needs doing.
I work with my parents on our dairy sheep farm and also have a full time job in Cluj.
