Mark Greenwood appointed as Elim's National Evangelist

Elim's National Leadership Team have announced the appointment of Mark Greenwood to the role of National Evangelist.

Mark, who has been a full-time evangelist since 1988, will be working out of Elim's REACH Department and Gary Gibbs, REACH Director, is very much looking forward to a new season with Mark working alongside.

"Don’t be fooled. Mark Greenwood is a very funny man," says Gary, "but he is deadly serious about reaching people who are far from God. You would need to look long and hard to find a more gifted and fruitful evangelist."

Mark is an ordained Elim evangelist who already helps local churches with their evangelism efforts. He is also an associate evangelist with J.John, who has been a mentor to Mark.

Known as an evangelist who presents the gospel in a humorous and engaging way, Mark loves equipping Christians to share their faith, giving them resources to help. He is passionate about helping the local church to build an evangelism culture that works and loves changing the perception that those outside the church have about Christianity.

As well as functioning as a full-time itinerant evangelist, Mark has also served part-time on the ministry team of two churches, helping them create an evangelism culture and pattern.

General Superintendent, Chris Cartwright comments, "Mark is well-known to many people in Elim, having ministered in so many of our churches."

"He has a wealth of experience as a speaker, writer and broadcaster; is an excellent and creative communicator, and is a proven equipper and enabler of others."

"With his years of experience, Mark brings a clear passion for evangelism to this role of National Evangelist. We are looking forward to a new season as REACH seeks to serve Elim and it's churches with even greater effectiveness in the years to come."

Mark commences his new role in Elim's evangelism department from the beginning of January 2017.
