‘You could see some deep moments taking place’

Elim Sound’s annual worship conference in November brought moments of encounter, encouragement and equipping. Joel Pridmore shares

“The heart of our conference is to connect people with God and what’s happening in worship,” says Joel Pridmore.

Joel, part of Elim Sound’s core leadership team, is talking about the annual worship conference which took place in London in November.

The event attracted 344 attendees from more than 40 Elim churches and further afield, from as far as Scotland, Guernsey and the Isle of Wight.

And through a programme of worship sessions, creative prayer, a five-hour ‘worship burn’ evening, workshops and speakers, the Lord moved in people’s lives, Joel says.

“There’s a massive connection between worship and the prophetic, so we make sure that’s included in all our worship, workshops and training. We’re always pursuing opportunities for God to speak, and that definitely happened this year,” he explains.

“On the Friday night there was a real freedom and a sense of God setting people free to worship and be who he’s created them to be – that was a real highlight.

“You could visibly see some deep moments taking place.”

Elim Sound’s conference is aimed primarily at singers, musicians and technical teams who are involved in worship in their local churches, but the event is also open to anyone with a heart for worship, says Joel.

“We want to train, equip, encourage and facilitate worship across Elim and beyond.”

Next year’s Worship 24 conference will take place at Birmingham City Church on 8-9 November. More details are available at elimsound.co.uk/conference
