Hundreds gather for Elim Sound’s first worship conference

More than 450 people attended Elim Sound’s first ever worship conference that was held over two days at Birmingham City Church at the end of last year. And plans are well underway for this year's event in November.

There were two main elements to the weekend. The first was a Worship Burn - a five-hour session combining worship and prayer from 8pm-1pm. The second was day of different worship related programmes.

Sam Blake, Elim Sound Director, said, “The place was buzzing! The Worship Burn had more people at 1am in the morning than there were at the official start. And on Saturday the place came alive with worshippers eager to get the most out of the day.”

“The conference was years in the dreaming and planning, but it was so much more than an event. Genuinely, it couldn’t have gone any better.”

“The team of over 70 volunteers worked so hard to serve those who attended with delegates travelling from Scotland, Northern Ireland, Eire, Wales and the Channel Islands. It was something very special.”

There were so many seeds of equipping and encouragement sown throughout the times of worship, teaching, gathering and seminars.

“So often people might comment that they wish that we could worship a bit longer in our local church gatherings. However, that is not always possible. Well, at the Elim Sound Worship Burn, we had moments of exuberant praise, intimate worship and rousing intercession.”

Suzanne Hanna, of the Elim Sound core team, said, “I rejoiced in seeing how God gathered so many from all over the UK and Ireland.”

“The tangible sense of spirit, truth and unity was powerful, and to see kingdom vision become reality was a such a privilege.”

The conference was staged in partnership with Elim International Missions and General Superintendent Chris Cartwright was the keynote speaker.
