Coventry Elim releases Kids EP

Emma Bacon shares about the new kids EP from Coventry Elim with melodies and lyrics created by the children.

The ‘Light in the Darkness’ EP is a collection of songs written by the kids and adults from Coventry Elim, birthed through words spoken to and over the children.

It has been amazing to have the children create melodies and produce lyrics for the songs, content which has not just come out of their learning at church, but also through the things God has said to them in their quiet time.

Each song tells the journey God has taken our children on over this past year and the aim of the EP is to bring the words of Psalm 8 to life. Verse 2 says:

‘Through the praises of children and infants, you have established a stronghold against your enemies’. We believe that our children have the power to silence the voice of the enemy through their praises, and the vision of the EP is to release that into action and begin to see a breakthrough.

We believe that God wants this EP to go beyond the walls of our church, and reach the nations. As it is used in other churches, a sound will be lifted up through the kids and there will be testimonies as a result of their praises throughout the nations.

The EP is available on all major platforms and lyric videos are available and free to use within your church setting on our YouTube channel. Our church has a heart for inclusivity so there are also British sign language videos for each song (these signs are great to use for actions!).

We hope you enjoy the EP!
