Finance Officer

The Central Finance Department is responsible for managing all central income and expenditure, providing regular management reports to aid budget management and decision-making, and supporting all ministries and departments that operate from Elim International Centre in Malvern, including Regents Theology College, Elim Missions, Administration, Youth, Evangelism, and Training.

The Finance Officer will work at Elim International Centre and report directly to the Finance Manager for Central Funds. As a member of the Central Finance Team you will contribute to and support the team in fulfilling the functions of the department.

Departmental responsibilities include accounting for all income and expenditure transactions, preparing data for monthly management reports, internal audit checks, and preparation and performance of the monthly internal and external payroll.

Other duties include:

  • Daily bank reconciliations for several central bank accounts;
  • Multiple Ledger Maintenance;
  • Purchase Ledger Maintenance;
  • Church Payroll;
  • Ministers credentials;
  • Respond to email and telephone enquiries.

  • Salary: Depending on Experience and Qualifications
  • Permanent Contract Full-Time hours, 5 days per week

Data Protection and Compliance Officer

Elim International Centre (EIC) is looking for a Data Protection Officer to join the team. Working directly to the Executive Director, this newly created post will be central to the Movement’s development of a compliance culture in the new GDPR world.

We are looking for an experienced, self-motivated individual who will oversee and work with colleagues at EIC, Regents and Elim churches through the provision of training and advice on data protection matters.

The ideal candidate will have experience in applying UK and EU data protection legislation and sound knowledge of data information management especially within the charitable sector.

Duties and Responsibilities

The post holder will be the Data Protection & Compliance Officer ( hereby referred to as DPO) for the EFGA as defined under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) 2016. The GDPR Regulation specifies the minimum duties or “tasks” to be performed by the DPO are:

  • To inform and advise the most senior levels of management, Trustees and Malvern Campus employees, of their obligations under the Regulation and other applicable laws and regulations;
  • To oversee data management on the Malvern Campus
  • To monitor compliance with the Regulation and other applicable laws and regulations. This includes awareness and training for staff at Malvern Campus and the Movement. These reports will be provided to the senior managers/Heads of Departments and the NLT/Governing Body;
  • To liaise with the Information Commissioner’s Office as required in the management of Information Governance breaches and general enquiries;
  • To be the contact point for the Malvern Campus and the Movement as regards the Regulation and will advise and assist churches with compliance;
  • To provide updates on the data protection compliance programme to the EFGA Trustees and Management Committee and those of other subsidiaries as appropriate;
  • To participate in the IT committee and other relevant working groups;
  • To manage the existing and developing information governance requirements coupled with best practice, guidance, support and implementation for such individual initiatives as Information Security, Freedom of Information, Records Management, Data Protection, Confidentiality and Information Quality, with the aim of ensuring a consistent approach to Information Governance;
  • To take budget management responsibility where delegated.
